He served 30 years in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran with the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division and served 3 tours in Vietnam. After he retired from the army he worked several years for the City of Honolulu.
He is survived by his son Lance K. (Nami) Aoyagi; his grandson Dustin M. (Kyuhee) Aoyagi and 2 great grandsons Ryan Kim and Davis J. Aoyagi. He is also survived by 6 sisters: Caroline Ayame (Carl) Marrero, Lillian Yaeko Chang, Marjorie Katsue Iwamoto, Esther Shizuko Hayashi, Alfhild Kiyoko Clark, Marcia Sueko Drake.
Services will be held on February 16, 2023, at Hosoi Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation: 9:00 a.m.; Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Celebration of life to follow. Burial: 1:00 p.m. at
