Chris was a wonderful husband to myself Cathy Lynn Young for almost 53 yrs. He was an amazing Dad to our 4 children, Cristal Garan (Ainsley), Chris Jr. (Candy), Corie, & Isaac (Brandee) and super Papa of 13, Chelsea Makekau (Kaumoana), Chantel, Chris III, Colby, Christy, Cheylee, Carly, Taylor-Ley Garan, Preston Smythe-Young, Iliana, Milena, Anuhea, Iakepa Weston. The best great-grandpapa of 9, Hokulele, Lehuanani, Kaumoana, Navea, Delilah, & Anela-Kiwaha Makekau & Isaiah, Valerie, & Ocean Ho. He is also survived by many aunties, uncles, nieces & nephews and many friends. Chris was a very hard & dedicated worker, who during his life time worked as a Roofer, Ironworker Local 625, Welder, & Glaizer.
Chris enjoyed his family, friends & people in general. He was always looking to help others. Always wanted to fix something, or help someone do or get through whatever they needed to get through or get done.
He loved being on his boat on Kaneohe bay. Loved camping and spending family time was always so important .
We are missing him more than alot during this time. Knowing he's with Jesus makes it so much better! Thank You Jesus!
A chapel service for Chris will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Hawaiian Memorial Park Funeral Services, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744. Following the chapel service will be a burial from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744.
