Joseph “Joey” Akima, Jr.

61, of Kahalu'u, Oahu and New York, passed away on November 6, 2022, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Born in Honolulu, Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Uncle Joe" Akima. He is survived by his partner, Demi; his mother, Fusae; brothers Vance and Brandon; sister Rhonda; his nieces and nephews and many family and friends.
Joey's life will be Celebrated at the Akima property in Kahalu'u, on February 25, 2023. Visitation: 2:00 p.m.; Service: 3:00 p.m.
