94, passed away peacefully at her home in 'Aiea on February 8, 2023. Born in Kofu, Japan to Shimeo and Kazuko Yamaki. Predeceased by her loving husband, William Brogan. She was a treasured mother, grand- mother, and great-grandmother. Toshiko was known by her community as a masterful ceramicist, and her pieces grace many homes across Hawai'i and elsewhere. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters: Rita Brogan (Michael Richards) and Mary Brogan (Bob Freitas); four grand- children: Zachary Brogan Elway, Hunter Brogan Richards, Sarah Mahealani Ferguson, and Emily Mahina Toshiko Brogan-Freitas; and great-grandchild: Ryan Toshiko Ferguson. Funeral services will be held on February 27 at Nu'uanu Mortuary Chapel; visitation at 4pm and service at 5pm. Inurnment Service at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, February 28 at 9:30 a.m.
