Leslie Michael Faaloua Malala
Leslie Michael Faaloua Malala 72, of Honolulu, Hawaii, departed peacefully on Thursday, February 9th, 2023.
Leslie was born on May 16th, 1950, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Magellan Fa'aloua and Lealofitaute Malala. He graduated from Damien Memorial High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army and later established a notable career at the Sheraton Waikiki as the Banquet Captain.
Leslie was known for his sweet and charming personality, loving, humble spirit, as well as the light and happiness he brought to all who encountered him. Les loved life, people, and above all his family. He valued his Samoan heritage and possessed an immeasurable generous heart. He formed bonds with friends who became family, and he was loved by all who were blessed to know him. Les left a permanent imprint on the hearts of everyone who cherished him. Leslie's legacy of love, kindness, and meticulous care for people are immortalized in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate to know him. "Leslie Michael Fa'aloua Malala, you will forever live on in our hearts and thoughts".
Leslie is survived by his wife, Chie Christensen; his children, Michael Leslie Fa'aloua Malala and Lea Nicole Malala; granddaughter, Leila Jade Malala; siblings, Patrick Emilio Malala, Virginia Foliga Leaupepe, Cynthia Malala-Moliga, Lawrence Fa'aloua Malala, Michael Wiley Malala, and Utuvaipaea'i Anastasia Fa'aloua. Les was preceded in death by his parents and sibling Sonja Taeaomanino Malala.

Hawaii has lost one of its greatest ,
but Heaven has gained one of its best.
