FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Gail Patricia Heatherly
Gail Patricia Heatherly Gail Patricia (Hodson) Heatherly, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022. She was 86. Born on November 13, 1936, Gail was the 7th of 8 children born to Paul and Victoria Hodson. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Farrington High School in 1955.
After high school, her love for photography landed her jobs at Anderson's Camera Shop and Woolworth's photo department. She married the love of her life, Richard Heatherly and had three children whom she was so very proud of. Gail worked at Kaiser Permanente as a medical records clerk and then as a receptionist for 31 years. She had so much love for the patients of Kaiser Permanente, her fellow co-workers, doctors and nurses. Gail loved Kaiser and through the years made many close friends who she treated as family. Shortly after retiring from Kaiser Hospital, the love and passion for people transferred with her to her job at WDS giving samples to Costco customers in Hawaii Kai. Gail's outgoing personality, radiating smile and her gift for great conversation made her very memorable. People recognized her wherever she went.
Gail leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Richard C. Heatherly; daughters Lisa Heatherly and Julie (Chris) Magpoc; son Kalani Heatherly; grandchildren: Kawika (Lachelle), Keola (Jenna), Pono, Cameron (Jena), Ethan and Landon; great grandchildren: Aliyah, Aliza, Elias, Alana and Kamila; brothers: Paul (Betty), Dennis (Diana) and Clifford Hodson as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Victoria Hodson; sisters: Lillian, Leona and Elaine and brother Melvin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park, 45-425 Kamehameha Hwy., Kaneohe, on March 4th, 2023. Visitation: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.; Service: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow; Burial is at 1:00 p.m.

The Heatherly family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Kaiser Permanente. All of you exemplify the true meaning of compassion, professionalism and ALOHA.
