89, of Waianae, passed away December 20, 2022. He was born in Soda Springs, Idaho on September 30, 1933. Retired Army Veteran (Korean Conflict), Pearl Harbor PWC ship fitter and avid outdoors man, Charles was active in many organizations such as the NRA, Hawaii Hunter's Education Program and Pig Hunters Association of Oahu. He is survived by daughter Juanita "Keiko" Saturno, sons Toumas and Ben "Kenji" Phelps, and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, brothers Dennis & Wilton Call of Idaho, sister Marsha Shumway of Idaho, nephews & nieces as well as extended family & friends in Hawaii, Idaho, Utah, Arkansas, Texas & Japan. Ashes will be spread at sea on Sunday March 5, 2023, outside the Waianae Small Boat Harbor. Celebration of life to follow at the family home in Makaha, 84-288 Jade St. at 11am.
