94, of Pearl City, died on December 27, 2022. Born in Honolulu, Mako grew up in the Waikiki/Kapahulu area and would spend his free time at Waikiki Beach. He also enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was a retired Pearl Harbor Shipyard machinist. In retirement, Mako was an avid walker, golfer and fisherman and enjoyed going to Vegas several times a year. He is survived by sons, Gary (Patsy) and David (Megan) Matsuda; daughters Janice Brown and Julie (John) Zaner; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Private services were held.
