FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Robert Tadashi Omura
Robert ''Bobby'' Tadashi Omura, 86, was born on January 3, 1936 in Honolulu. He passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022 with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his brothers Toshio, Kenneth "Archie" and sisters Harriet Onomoto, Mildred Matsushima, Sharon Nakahara and Grace Chow. He is survived by his sister, Gail Ishino, and his wife, Elizabeth ''Liz'', sons Robb (Song), Kevin, Guy, and Shawn, and three grandchildren.

He graduated from Kaimuki HIgh School in 1954 and received a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Hawaii. Thereafter, Bobby served in the US Air Force. He began his social work career at Catholic Social Service where he later became the Executive Director. He owned and operated a business known as ''Occasional Flowers'', but later decided to return to his social work career serving as the Exec. Dir. at Palama Settlement which he loved. He retired after ten years of service at Palama Settlement. Bobby and his beloved wife, Liz, enjoyed retirement together until God called Bobby home to be with him. He was laid to rest on February 14, 2023 at the Punchbowl Cemetery of the Pacific.
