78, of Kaaawa, was promoted from Earth Elder to Universal Being on November 29, 2022. Billy was a Giver of Love, Wisdom, Insight and Laughter...a retired Machinist, a Fisherman, Cook and Singer. He is survived by his wife Jan Hipa; children: Hughie Long, Kimberly Hatico, Heather Johnson (Jeremy), Livia Ka'ahanui (Chris), Maggie Long and Emily Gongloff (Tyler); stepson Josh Hipa (Courtney); grandchildren (22); great grandchildren (6); siblings: Peter, Roger and Judah Heffernan, John and Steve Long, Arthur Brickwood, Rene Takemoto and Cheryl Ornellas; former spouses, Joanne Long and Maureen Malanaphy, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be at Kahana Bay at the Coconut Grove on March 17th, 2023. Service: 10:00 a.m.; Pa'ina to follow.
