He attended Eleele elementary, middle and Waimea High Schools on Kauai and University of Illinois, in Champaign Urbana, IL. He was enrolled in the ROTC in college. Upon graduation, Don served four years at the Los Angeles Air Force Station in El Segundo, CA. He lived in numerous states while he was employed by PacifiCorp, Nevada Power and Arizona Power Service.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Parker United Methodist Church in Kaneohe, HI. Visitation at 10:00 am, Service at 11:00 am. Casual attire. Burial at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
