Kay Kazumi Yoshimoto
Kay Kazumi Yoshimoto, 92, passed away on January 16, 2023 in Honolulu. Kay Takimura was born in Kaunakakai, Molokai, and after her family relocated to Oahu she graduated from Farrington High School. She retired after 33 years of service for the federal government; her last job was working in Pearl Harbor for the Consolidated Civilian Personnel Office (CCPO). She was very dedicated to her job, Kay was always willing to help and cherished her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband, James "Sho" Yoshimoto, she is survived by children, Keary (Carolyn) Yoshimoto, Dayle (Bryan) Osaki, Michele (Peter-James) Loo, Chadd Yoshimoto, Brad Yoshimoto; sister Mabel Okamura, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grand- children and 1 great-great-grand- child. Kay lived a full life and will be remembered for her smile and sweet personality. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held on March 29, 2023 at Hosoi Mortuary in Honolulu. Visitation at 4:00 PM, with services to follow at 5:00 PM. Masks will be required.
