Respected attorney J. Alan Kugle passed beyond in Honolulu on March 3, 2023, at the age of 85. Alan had a distinguished legal and business career as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of C. Brewer and Co., Ltd. He served on the board of Boy Scouts of America in Hawaii.Born in Marietta, Pennsylvania, Alan excelled in high school and college basketball. He earned his Juris Doctor from New York University before moving to Honolulu in 1975. Family and friends remember him as a man of honor, intelligence and diligence.
Alan is survived by his companion Pearl Granger; his ex-wife Lynn Kugle; his sons Gregory and Scott; four grandchildren: Lauren Kugle Pommeranz, Kennedy Kugle, Dillon Kugle, Justise Takasaki, and great grandson Zephyr Pommeranz.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023,
10:00 a.m., at Waiokeola Congregational Church.
