On January 31, 2023, our precious Mother passed away peacefully at home in Kaneohe with her two daughters at her side. She was 99 years old. Ku'ulani was born on March 22, 1923 to May Eckart Miner and Jospeh Miner. Ku'ulani was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Earl Robbins Hopkins; sister, Wanda P. Sylva and brother, Vernon M. Miner. Ku'ulani was a 1941 graduate of Rooselvelt High School. Her first job was at Pearl Harbor as a clerk typist. She moved on to the State Dept. of Health where she retired after many years. After retirement she did volunteer work with the Dept. of Human Services, as a senior companion. Ku'ulani is survived by her two daughters, Kathy May Hopkins and Dotsy Lilinoe Buffett (Buddy); 3 grandchildren; Christopher Earl Hopkins, Jett Kamoa'e Buffett and Willow Ku'ulani Buffett. We will miss her beautiful smile and her loving sparkling green eyes looking back at us. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Oahu Cemetery.
