85, of Waianae (formerly of Waipahu), passed away on February 12, 2023. He was born in Makawao, Maui. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired as a Pearl Harbor Naval Base Police Captain. He is survived by his wife, Sachi Chong. Sons: Anthony (Rhonnie) Chong, Daniel Chong, and James (Lori) Chong. Daughters: Akemi Kakazu, Kathleen Chong, Shari (Brian) Barretto, and Shanna (Joe) Benton. 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10am to 12:45pm at the Valley of the Temples Makai Chapel. Inurnment to follow at 1pm. Aloha attire. Arrangements Provided By:
