Our beauty queen, Elizabeth Chai of Kailua, peacefully traveled her Heavenly Road on her 92nd birthday, March 21. She hele'd on, joining her son Michael, surrounded by 'ohana: husband Norman; children Mark (Makana), Marianne Leialoha, Elizabeth Morreira, Cathy (Mike) Higa, Norm (Lori), Annie (Pat) Buehler, and Lehuanani; plus some of her 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by siblings Harriet Pa Nakea, Stanford Pa, and Stanton Pa. A Maryknoll grad, she loved being a school Kupuna for 20 years and a cantor at St. Anthony's church. She lived Aloha, and was known for her bubbly laugh, warm heart, sass, and beauty inside and out. "Aloha! Take care now, I love you!" Services 4/29. Contact family for details.
