Paul HayashiWahiawa, Hawaii. Paul Hayashi (Uncle Bullet), age 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, February 10. Paul was the son of the late Frederick Hayashi and Momoyo (Kimura) Hayashi. He was born in Wahiawa, where he lived most of his life. After graduating from Leilehua High School in 1966, he enlisted in the Coast Guard Reserves during the Vietnam War while receiving his BBA in Marketing from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 1971.

In 1986, he was awarded the Master of Photography by the Professional Photographers of America, followed by Photographic Craftsman in 1991, and Master of Electronic Imaging in 2000. He volunteered for various pageants throughout Hawaii and was the official photographer of the Narcissus Festival pageant for nearly 50 years. He also worked with Miss Chinatown Hawaii, the Miss Hawaii Organization, Miss Maui, and others throughout his lifetime.

Paul is survived by his sister, Ferne Hayashi (husband Rick Cruise), niece, Breanna Cruise (aka "Da Kid"), and many, many loving cousins.

In accordance with Paul's wishes, a private family graveside service was held at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary, where he is buried next to his loving mother and father. Rest in Love.
