The 442nd Regimental Combat Team veteran Tatsuo Omiya, 99, passed away on January 19, 2023 followed by his wife Muriel, 96, on March 9, 2023. They were both born in Honolulu, Hawaii and resided at the Maunalani Nursing Home. Prior to retiring, Tatsuo worked for the U.S. Postal Service, and Muriel was a secretary at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. They are survived by sons, Dean, Earl (Laurie), and Baron (Dolly), three grandchildren, Aaron, Shelley (Connor) and Haley, great-grandson Miles and sister Amy Murai. Private services were held.
