84 of Makawao, Maui, passed away on November 23, 2022, at Maui Memorial Medical Center with his family at his bedside. Allen was born on February 9, 1938, in Honolulu where he was raised with his 7 siblings. Allen is survived by his loving wife Iris Michiko Nakata; daughters Kats (Edward) Enrique and Leigh Nakata; grandchildren: Cassidy Suguitan, Seth Suguitan and Taylor Sayles.
Services were held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Nakamura Mortuary on Maui. Allen was laid to rest with military honors on December 29, 2022, at Valley of the Temples on Oahu, next to his parents, Ryuichi and Tamano Nakata. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Lillian Toshie Yamamura, Albert Takashi "Sunshine" Nakata and Louis Akira Nakata. His surviving sisters are Betty Atsuko Wakafuji, Aileen Asako (Eugene) Sodetani, Amy lkue Sawamura, Agnes Kayoko (Calvin) Kaya and many nieces and nephews.
