CYNTHIA JAY HAUNANI KAUKAIt is with sorrow that the family of Cynthia Jay Haunani Kauka announces her passing on April 7th, 2023.

Born on February 23, 1949 to parents Marjorie Wong Kauka and Kenneth Ka'alu'ehukai Kauka Sr., she graduated from Kailua High School in 1967. Following a successful career in travel, Nani found her true calling through healing touch as a Licensed Massage Therapist. A commanding Kumu Hula, dancer, and musician, Haunani was a vibrant light to family and her many friends.

Nani is survived by her spouse Marianne Kamanuokeao Bicoy along with siblings Anita 'Ilima Stern, Kenneth Ka'alu'ehukai Kauka Jr. and several nieces and nephews, many of whom fondly remember her as their favorite Aunty.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kailua Beach Park on May 2, 2023 starting at 10 am. The family requests lei or loose flowers in lieu of flower arrangements for a private scattering of ashes at a later date.
