Rose of Aiea, HI was born on October 20, 1935 in a plantation camp North of Pahala called Maula on the Big Island of Hawaii to Hannah Kahele and Marcelino Sesson.
She worked many years at Waimano Training School and Hospital from 1974 to 1995 and at Kaneohe State Hospital from 1995 to her retirement in 1999.
She attended grade school in Pahala, graduated from Hilo HS, and completed an Associates Degree from LCC. She is survived by brothers Garciano Sesson and Milton (Verna) Dacalio, son Tracy (Evelyn) Takaki, daughters Nadine (Dylan) Grace, Deonalee Naboa, 6 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in Heaven by husband Moses Takaki Jr and son Miles Takaki.
A celebration of her life will be held at Kawaiaha'o Church
(957 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu) on May 8, 2023 from 9am to 12pm (refreshments to follow). Committal Services at 1pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery (45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe).
