Aileen Sarm Ching
Aileen Sarm ChingOn Monday, December 12, 2022, Aileen Sarm Ching passed away peacefully with her daughters by her bedside. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma, Super Popo, Tutu2, Aunty and friend during her 104 years. Born in Honolulu, third of five siblings, she loved playing the piano, singing, dancing, and keeping pace with her sisters as they were inseparable throughout their teen years and beyond.

Aileen's smile and quick wit captured Jacob's heart and they married in 1940. Together they raised their 6 children: Melvin, Virginia, Madeline, Jacob, Francis and Patrick. She enjoyed motherhood, cooking, baking, sewing, reading, shopping, playing card games and weekly family gatherings. She was a woman of faith and longtime parishioner of Mary, Star of the Sea Church. She retired after 20+ years from Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel and continued traveling with family and friends to China, California, Las Vegas and New Zealand, and cruises to Alaska and the Mediterranean. Aileen's joyful spirit endeared all who knew and met her and will remain forever in our hearts.
