FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

SHARON YOKOTE
SHARON YOKOTESharon Yokote was born in Washington, D.C. She spent most of her life in service to others. She was one of the first paralegal graduates in Hawaii and went to work at the League of Women Voters. Because she felt all of these were important, Sharon spent decades as an advocate for Disability Rights and PAMI (Protection & Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness) and contributed energies to supporting Hawaii Public Radio.
Sharon was an artist, a photographer, a loving sister, and a friend to many. At the age of 77, she passed on March 11, 2023. Sharon loved her family and is survived by her sisters, Allison Sasaki, Cynthia Pyun (Mitchell Weinstock) and nephews Gavin and Alan. She is at rest with our mother at Diamond Head Memorial Park.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
