Hannah Carol Mae Stibbard Vanderford
Hannah Carol Mae Kuuleinani (Stibbard) Vanderford was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to mother, Harriet Ku'uleinani (Sheldon) Stibbard, who was a well known Kumu Hula and school teacher, and father, Harry T. K. Stibbard, who ran the Maui News for many years before moving to Hilo and then Honolulu. Carol Mae lived an idyllic life growing up near Iao Valley and often reminisced about her wonderful childhood on Maui. Carol Mae was a Flight Attendant with Hawaiian Airlines and co-founded the Koa'e Kea club for retired Hawaiian Air flight attendants. She later retired from Liberty House. An Angel on Earth, Carol Mae's kind and outgoing spirit was an inspiration for many, and she shared her love of the Lord Jesus every day. Carol said she lived a good life and was ready to go HOME with a smile on her face. She passed peacefully on April 22nd, a few days before her 94th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl J. P. Ka'aumoana Vanderford, son, Ron Kelekona Vanderford, and brother, John Stibbard. Survived by Daughter, H. Vanelle Maunalei Love, sons, Harry Earl K. and Robert Scott K, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Celebration of Life Memorial and burial service on May 18th, 2023, 10am-2pm, at O'ahu Cemetery.
