67, of Honolulu passed away on January 24, 2023 in Honolulu. She was born in Honolulu on May 11, 1955 to Kazuo "Sib" and Doris Okimoto. A graduate of Marlborough School in Los Angeles, Jo Ann earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Southern California. She was passionate about her work as an early childhood behavioral health consultant. Jo Ann was an exceptional cook and enjoyed yoga and tennis. Jo Ann was well loved and will truly be missed by her family and friends.She is survived by husband Alan; daughter Blair (Brian); grandson Brennan, and brother James Okimoto (Theresa). She is predeceased by her parents and beloved canine companion Kea.
A celebration of Jo Ann's life will be held on Sunday May 21, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary.
