John Kamanu passed away on March 23, 2023. He was 89 years old. He was the youngest of 11 children born to Charles and Georgiana Kamanu. John never married but was Uncle to 36 nieces and nephews. He played an important part in their lives. He lived to see 7 generations of KAMANU'S. He was a 1953 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. He worked for Hawaiian Electric Company for almost 30 yrs. Traveled the world and made many lasting friends in Korea, Japan, China, New Zealand, Micronesia, Australia and across the Continental USA. He was honored by the South Korean and Micronesian governments. He played a major role in securing the land and designed The Kailua Pentecostal Church in Kailua, of which his father Rev. Charles Kamanu was one of the founders. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Kailua Pentecostal Church. Service at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements Provided By:
