Lee James Bates, 45, of Honolulu, owner of Artesian Auto Repair, died in Honolulu. He was born in Chula Vista, Calif. He is survived by wife Kristeen K.L., son Dakota, daughter Sera, father Donald L., mother Valerie K.L.K. Lawson, brothers Michael Bates and Sean Shinshiro, and sister Lin J. Moody. Private services.
