Ruben "Ala" Hanohano Sr., 64, of Nanakuli, a Hawaiian Telephone Co. retiree, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Nanakuli. He is survived by sons Ruben "Ala Boy" and Quincy; daughters Lovenna "Annie" and Gerina; brothers Paul, Jimmy, Lawrence, Bobby, Solomon, Bruce and Roy Hanohano, and Yala Brown; sisters Wai, Ruby, Shirley, Waylynn and Joelynn; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services: 11:30 a.m. next Saturday at Zablan Beach, Nanakuli. Casual or aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
