ALAN T. KAWAHARA
Age 53, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away January 13, 2011 in Aiea. Born January 11, 1958 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Beloved husband, dedicated father and fun-loving spirit. Alan was a retired Fire Captain with the Honolulu Fire Department where he proudly served for 25 years. He also worked for Costco Waipio. He endured life's trials with great love from family and friends, a strong faith and an unbelievable positive attitude.
He is survived by wife, Joelle Kawahara; sons, Casey K. Kawahara, Layne K. Kawahara; daughter, Kiana A. Kawahara; parent, Peggy Kawahara; brothers, Bert (Lynn) Kawahara, Dennis (Carina) Kawahara, Brian (Karen) Kawahara, Francis (Evelyn) Kawahara, numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation 5:30 p.m. Saturday (February 19) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; Memorial Service 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Alan Kawahara's name.
