Betsy Kazue Nakamasu
In the comfort of her home and surrounded by love, Betsy Kazue Nakamasu passed away and went on to be with the Lord on February 20, 2018. Born on the Island of Hawai'i on December 04, 1922, she retired as a Front Office Cashier at the Sheraton Kaua'i Resort and volunteered regularly at the New Hope Ministry Center on O'ahu. She was passionate about helping others, mangos, Las Vegas and bingo. She was preceded in death by husband, Hikoji "Peacock" Nakamasu, brothers Fumiyuki Kiyota and Tadayoshi Kiyota and sister Mildred Lopez. She is survived by son, Wayne (Lynn) Nakamasu of O'ahu, daughters Lisa Nakamasu of Kaua'i, Dorine (Regan) Chang of O'ahu, grand- sons Reyn (Marisa) Nakamasu of Oregon, Jeris Nakamasu of O'ahu, Galen Chang of Texas, brother Moriyuki (Patsy) Kiyota, sister Geraldine (Jacob) Nakamitsu, sisters-in-law Sadako Kiyota and Evelyn Kiyota, brother-in-law Richard Lopez and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Kurosawa, Dr. Baron Wong and the caring staff at The Plaza Assisted Living in Mililani.
