Patrick Shigemi "Shige" Tamashiro Sr., 71, of East Rockaway, N.Y., formerly of Kailua, a retired New York State carpenter, died in East Rockaway. He is survived by wife Patricia; sons Patrick Jr., Ryan and Kevin; daughters LaRene and Caitlyn; brother Kenneth; sisters Audrey Kawaa and Puanani Yamamoto; and nine grandchildren. Services were held in New York. Scattering of ashes to be held in Kailua at a later date.
