David G.R. Short, 70, of Landenberg, Pa., a University of Delaware Chemical Engineering Department professor, DuPont Engineering retiree and an Army officer, died at home. He was born in Kapaau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Jeanne C. Haley, son Jeffrey M.D., daughter Jennifer S., brother Charles B. and a grandchild. Services held.
