Grace Kimiko Takeuchi
Age 86, passed away peacefully at Straub Hospital on July 2, 2018. She was born on March 2, 1932, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Kaoru and Shizuyo Ota. She is survived by her husband, George and her three children, Gregg, Grant, and Gay Asato. She has two grandsons, Mark and Evan Takeuchi. She was the chapter president for the American Business Woman's Association and an active member with the Hiroshima Kenji Kai. She truly lived life to the fullest by doing things she enjoyed like cooking for her family and friends, playing mahjong, golf and go to yoga classes. Grace will be lovingly remembered for her wonderful ability to make people smile and her kindness to everyone she meets. She was the favorite "aunty" among the many nieces and nephews and is affectionately known as "Princess Grace" among the relatives in Japan. A Celebration of Life for Grace Kimiko Takeuchi will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. and service will begin at 5:30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Honolulu Tabernacle, 1560 South Beretania Street, 96826. Inurnment will be on August 15, at 10:30 a.m., at Punchbowl National Cemetery, 2177 Puowaina Drive. Arrangements Provided By: Ultimate Cremation Services LLC
