She is survived by daughter, Michelle (Steven) Whaley; and by sisters, Betsy (Tadashi-deceased) Sato, Patricia Miyashiro and Nancy (Eugene-deceased) Miura. She was predeceased by siblings, Seigi Miyagi, Matsuei Miyagi, James (survived by Miyoko) Miyashiro, Fusako Miyashiro and Helen (survived by Koki) Tamashiro.
