71 years old, died on August 3, 2018 in Hoolehua, Molokai after battling cancer. Born in Honolulu on December 5, 1946 to Wallace Han Yong Kang & Evangeline Kamahele Pawn. From age one, he was raised on Molokai by Grandparents John & Maraea Pawn. Attended and graduated from Molokai High & Elementary School in 1965. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Hawaii National Guard. He was married to the late Cheryl Kaaihue of Molokai. Their children are; Norman Eric Kang, Jr of Maui, Ferron Naehu Kang(Comelita) of Saudi Arabia, & Nyree Piilani Kang(Patrick) of Molokai. He is also survived by grandchildren; He'ili & Joseph of Maui, Jessica & Jasmine of Thailand, Jadah of the Phillipines, Fera of Hawaii Island, Theron Jordan, Ciera Lee & Airee Ann of Molokai. Siblings include Myrtle Moepono (Albert dec.), Frances Wong (Hank), Barbara Lingford-Sowell (Fred dec.), Michael Kang, Richard Kang dec. (Nancy), Daren Lee (Thomas dec.), Gail Yonemura. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 25 at the Molokai Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kaunakakai, HI. Visitation from 9AM to 11AM. Service from 11AM to Noon. Fellowship & Luncheon to follow in the Cultural Hall of the Church.
