Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Oct. 15, 2018 at 81. Born in San Jose to Walter J & Alyce E Shew. His stepmother was Ting C Shew. A graduate of Punahou School, Harvard University, & UCSF Medical School. He practiced radiology for over 30 years at Whittier Presbyterian Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, cars, & spending time with family. He was known for his honesty, kindness, integrity, & hard work. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Ching Shew; sons, Scott (Karen), Michael (Kim), Patrick (Vicky), & Steven (Tiffany); daughter, Stephanie (George) Lindemann and ten grandchildren.
