90, of Honolulu, passed away on April 11, 2019, at Straub Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1928 in Fukuoka, Japan. She was a kindergarten teacher in Japan for 15 years and a lab technician at Loyola University in Chicago for 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Harry, and her hanai children, nephew Malcolm Shiroma & wife Lynn, and niece Leattrice Watanabe & husband Michael. She always enjoyed and spoke fondly of her member friends at Senior Life, Seikakai America (Chikushi Jyogakuen Alum), International Japanese Christian Church, Ohara Ikebana Instructor, Makiki Christian Church Ukulele Class, and the Fukuoka Kenjin Kai. Visitation 5 PM on Friday (May 31) at Hosoi Mortuary. Services start at 6 PM. Ash scattering ceremony Sunday (June 2nd) 2 PM in front of the first concession on the Ewa side entrance before the tennis courts. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
