ALBERT “SUNSHINE” TAKASHI NAKATA and CLARISSA KIYOKO NAKATA
October 21,1927 ~ March 24, 2019 CLARISSA KIYOKO NAKATA January 1, 1932 ~ February 12, 2016 Albert Takashi Nakata 91, born in Honolulu, passed away on March 24, 2019 at home. Albert graduated from Mid Pacific Institute, served in the United States Army, Interpreters School located in Carmel, Monterey Park, California, was an avid golfer and once had a scratch handicap. He was predeceased by wife, Clarissa Kiyoko Nakata on February 12, 2016. She was born in Kapaa, Kauai. They worked and retired from the Los Angeles Water & Power Department in California, then moved back to Kaneohe, Oahu, March 2003. Albert is survived by brother Allen M. (Iris) Nakata of Maui; sisters: Betty T. Wakafuji, Aileen A. (Eugene) Sodetani, Amy I. (Ed) Sawamura, and Agnes K. (Calvin) Kaya. Clarissa is survived by sister Annie Morisato. Both have many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Private Services for Albert & Clarissa were held on April 24, 2019 at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
