Miriam was born on September 21, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa; she was a retired District Education Specialist for the Department of Education in Hilo. Friends may call on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Kilohana United Methodist Church, 5829 Mahimahi St, Honolulu, HI 96821, Visitation at 3:00 p.m.; Celebration of Life (Memorial Services) at 3:30 p.m. casual attire and no flowers please. A private urn committal will be at a later date in Hilo. Miriam is survived by: Daughter, Janis Kara of Katy, TX; Son, Maury (Danielle) Agcaoili of Waipahu; Grandchildren, Tessa (Orion) Matthews of Eugene, OR, Maury Agcaoili, Jr. of Honolulu, Jarek and Jessika Agcaoili of Waipahu; Great grandchildren Willow and River Matthews of Eugene, OR; Brother, Donald (Pat) Skelton of Longmeadow, MA; numerous nieces and nephews.
