ARTHUR PAOA KALAMAKAI MEDEIROS October 16, 1938 ~ October 13, 2019 Paoa went to Heaven on October 13, 2019. He passed peacefully at his family home in Kailua. He follows his wife of 59 years, Elaine Kuuleialoha and his daughter Roxanne Koki . His parents were Arthur and Suzanne Lui Kwan Medeiros. He was an Air Force Veteran and represented the Airforce Black Belt Judo Team. He enjoyed being on the HPD Powerlifting team and retired after 28 years from the Honolulu Police Department as a Lieutenant. He continued to work as a Special Investigator for the State of Hawaii Office of the Attorney General and owned Hawaii Detectives. He was a longtime member of Hawaii Vintage Rods, Hui Maka'i Motorcycle Club and enjoyed his many parts as an extra on the original "Hawaii Five-0". He paddled for Kailua and Waimanalo Canoe clubs. He is survived by Robin (Lynne) Medeiros, Rhanda (Kale) Vickery & Nani (Marty) Richardson; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life for Paoa and Lei on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Kailua Beach at 9:00 a.m. Beachside of old concession area.
