Graveside services over the ashes of Frank Waldron BarrËre and Dorothy Eleanor Benton BarrËre will be held at Oahu Cemetery on May 6, 2011, at 11 a.m., with The Reverend Elizabeth Zivanov of the Parish of St. Clement officiating and military honors for Waldron by the United States Army Honor Detail. A reception on the cemetery lanai will follow. Waldron was born in Honolulu on September 12, 1910, and died in Montana on June 25, 2005. He was a retired architectural hardware consultant, an ocean lover and a lifelong woodworker. He was a Major in the US Army Quartermaster Corps in the Ryukyus Campaign during World War II. Dorothy was born in Hilo on March 27, 1913, and died in Montana on November 8, 2009. She was a Hawaiian historian, editor, writer and lecturer. They are survived by their daughters and their families, Danielle Stone of Minnesota and Michele Stephen-Hassard of Montana. Full obituaries appeared in 2005 and 2009. The family suggests aloha attire and the wearing of leis.
