NORMAN LACERDO
NORMAN LACERDOAffectionately known as "Sonny," Norman passed away at home on Feb. 12, 2020 at 92 years old. Born June 21, 1927 in Hilo, he married Ellen in 1948. A hard-working family man, he raised 6 children and loved taking them to the beach, and caring for his yard and pets. He had a beautiful tenor singing voice and would sing Hawaiian songs while accompanied by Ellen on the piano or ukulele. He worked many years as a Diesel Bus Mechanic and driver, and always found time to help out friends. He is survived by daughters Kathleen (Bina) Lacerdo, Patricia (Mike) Ikeda, Lani (Wes) Murphy, and Priscilla Lacerdo; sons Jeffrey (Ella) and Paul (Lee) Lacerdo; sisters Nora Tavares and Naomi Alcosiba of Hilo; 8 grandchildren; and also 10 great- and 2 great- great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by Ellen and sisters Norma Tan, Nona Boudreau, and Mary Lou Haimoto. LOVE YOU DAD
