Mike was born to Issac K. and Elizabeth N. Kuhia Kalua, on December 28, 1947, in Honolulu. He was raised by his paternal aunt and uncle, Nancy K. and Henry Paia. He is survived by Margie Williams Kalua of Fayetteville, NC; daughters, Kaleiokalani and Malia; son, Michael Jr.; a brother, Dennison Kalua of Kaneohe; sisters, Jacqueline Keliihoomalu of Hauula; Nania Welch of Waimanalo; Jocelyn Frye (Bill) of Kaneohe; Nancy Kamanu of Kaneohe; and Esther Watson of Waianae; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, and aunt and uncle, he was preceded in death by brothers, Isaac Kalua, Jr., and Patrick Kalua; sisters, Carnation Colleado; Macine Kalili; and Sweetheart Harris.
