She was born Patricia Diane Howard on September 17, 1933 to William Howard and Alma Moorman Howard in the City of Manila and moved to Honolulu in 1945. Pat graduated from Roosevelt High School and was married to Jack Arkin and Chuck Braden. In 1972, Pat moved to the mainland and lived in San Francisco, Denver, San Diego, Bellingham, WA, and finally Greensboro, NC.
Pat had a long and successful career in the travel industry, then attended the University of Denver to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a clinical psychologist. She was in private practice in San Diego for many years before retiring to Bellingham, WA in 1999. She eventually moved to Greensboro, NC to be closer to family.
She is survived by her daughter Dyan Arkin (Ken Snowden), her grandson Jeremy Michael Ka'ohinani Albers (Alana Aniceto Albers); her great grandchildren: Sebastian, Olive, and Mila, of Greensboro, and step-children Rondi Braden Leonard of Oregon and Michael Louis Arkin of Hawaii.
