Jonathan's light shone from New York, Oregon, California and Hawai'i to Europe and Asia. During his 33-year career at Punahou School, he inspired countless minds with his unique Global Keiki teaching style — filled with early digital literacy, cultural studies, singing and juggling. He received several educator accolades locally and internationally.
Over the years, he connected with schools worldwide, taught 'skills and games' like juggling, organized book drives for Na'alehu Elementary, earned a black belt and instructed with Hawaii Shotokan Karate, and remained a fierce Oregon Ducks fan.
Jonathan is survived by his son, Jesse, and his mother, Mary; his children, Ryan and Sachie, and their mother, Faye; his grandson, Kainoa; siblings, David and Jamie; and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
