BONNIE “CRICKET” BOND NAM
77, of Kailua, Hawai'i, passed away on January 24, 2022. Bonnie was born on September 2, 1944 in California. She and her family moved to Hawai'i in 1949. Bonnie grew up on Portlock Road and attended Punahou School, graduating in 1962. She met and married Norman (Puna) Nam on March 9, 1968. Bonnie and her husband opened Cinnamon's Restaurant in Kailua with Chef Carsie Green in 1985. Bonnie was known for her ultra-creative and artistic mind, her delectable baked goods, wedding cakes made with lots of love, her class, her grace, and of course, her genuine & generous, gigantic Aloha Spirit---of which she shared with all! She is survived by husband Puna, sons Douglas and Alika (Hawai'i), sister Eugenie Bond Stowe (North Carolina) and brother Robin C. Bond (Hawai'i), and by numerous nieces and nephews, in addition to all her hanai-ed sons & daughters across Hawai'i Nei & beyond... Services to be held at Hawaii Memorial Park, Kane'ohe, HI, on Sunday, Feb 20th from 9am to noon; "Celebration of Life & Love" at Cinnamon's Kailua to follow---noon to 4pm. *Masks, current vaccination card, or negative covid test required for entry into the service & at Cinnamon's.
