Bernice Anne (Sullivan) Anderson
Passed away January 20, 2022, she was born April 19, 1940, in Waterbury Connecticut to Daniel Sullivan and Anne Nelson. She graduated from Sacred Hearts High School in Waterbury in 1958 and immediately married a sailor and embarked on a 20-year journey as a Navy Wife beginning in Pocatello Idaho and ending in Rota Spain with stops in Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, California and Hawaii. She and her family settled in Hawaii after their Navy days where she started her 36-year career as a property manager with Chaney Brooks Property Management in Honolulu, Hawaii and continued in that work when relocating to Bainbridge Island Washington in 1996 managing her own property management business on Bainbridge Island. She is survived by Doug Anderson, her husband of 63 years; 3 daughters, Kristine Coughlin of Rocklin California, Heidi Anderson of Renton Washington, Amy Anderson of Kingston Washington; 7 grandchildren, Joshua Ah Chan of Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Cydney Wong of Kingston Washington, Ashley Ah Chan of Bremerton Washington, Justin Ah Chan of Bremerton Washington, Asmara Anderson of Kingston Washington, Finn Coughlin of Rocklin California, Shea Coughlin of Rocklin California; 3 Great grandchildren, Cyrus Ah Chan of El Paso Texas, Roman Ah Chan of El Paso Texas and A'iyanna Daines of Bremerton Washington. She also leaves behind 3 Hanai daughters; Tracy Yanagimoto of Kaneohe Hawaii, Nicole Wheatley of Sugar Land Texas, Robyn Apisa of Glendale Arizona, also Son-in-law Tom Coughlin of Rocklin California and Grand Daughter-in-law Fabiola Ah Chan of El Paso Texas. A Celebration of Life (Irish Wake) will be held at the family home at 8326 Blakely Height Drive, Bainbridge Island, starting a 2:00 pm on March 19th.
