76, of Mililani, HI, passed away on February 1, 2021.Ed was born on June 8, 1944, to Takeo and Alice Sanpei. After graduating from Radford High School, he obtained degrees from the University of Hawaii, Harvard Law School, and NYU.
In 1971, he began his career with Rush Moore LLP, and after 42 years with the firm, he retired in 2013.
He became a loving husband when he married Ruby Ota in 1972; and a dedicated and supportive father to his two children, Keith and Cheryl.
Ed enjoyed supporting UH Baseball and Football as well as his San Francisco Giants.
Ed is survived by wife Ruby, son Keith, daughter Cheryl, siblings Charles Sanpei, Ellen (Robert) Wakabayashi, Francis (MaDonna) Sanpei, Shirley (Paul) Fujimoto, and several nephews and nieces.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 27th at Mililani Mortuary Park, Mauka Chapel. Visitation at 9:30 am, Service at 10:30 am. Vaccination card or negative Covid test, ID, and mask required. No flowers.
