63, of Honolulu, HI, passed away peacefully among family on August 9, 2021. Born on May 6, 1958 to Laura Y. Chun and Roy S. L. Chun, "Bernie" graduated from Punahou School in 1976 and Chaminade University in 1981. She excelled and enjoyed various sports throughout her life such as swimming, basketball, softball, tennis, surfing, and golf; and easily made numerous friends throughout her life. A loving wife, mother, and tutu, Bernie is survived by her husband Malcolm K. O. Yee, daughter Lynn Yee (Landon Mizuguchi), son Steven Yee, mother Laura Y. Chun, brother Steven Chun (Georgia), twin sister Patricia Kikuchi (Raymond), granddaughter Lilyn Mizuguchi, nephews Ben Chun, Andrew Mau, and Anthony Mau, and niece Erin Miskey (Mark).A Celebration of Bernie's Life will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 3pm to 6pm at Café Julia, 1040 Richards Street, Honolulu, HI 96813. Street parking is free on Sundays, and paid parking is available at Bishop Square (parking entrance on Alakea Street). Proof of vaccination is required and masks must be worn (when not consuming food or drink) to attend.
