WALLACE “WALLY” WESLEY KAMAHELE
90, of San Gabriel, California, passed away on February 25, 2022. Wally was born on February 17, 1932 in Puna, Hawaii to Bernard Hiwa Kamahele and Anna Kui Yin Ho. He was the second of four children, with an older brother, Lawrence, and two younger sisters, Elsie and Eleanor. In 1952, he joined the U.S. Army and was sent as a medic to support the front lines and treat the wounded in the Korean War. In 1953, the war ended and he moved to Los Angeles to further his education and interest in electronics, ultimately securing a position at Hughes Aircraft. On December 27, 1964, he married Verna Kuhn and both celebrated their 57th anniversary in December, 2021. He is survived by Verna Kamahele (wife), Danette Kamahele (daughter), Dean Kamahele (son), Connor (grandson), Patrick (grandson), Brennan (grandson), Brooklyn (granddaughter), Jerry Ryan (son-in-law), and Vicky Kamahele (daughter-in-law).
